Further Information
Assessment: BA (Hons) in Acting
The BA (Hons) in Acting is an unclassified degree. This means that you will receive an honours degree but without classifications like 2:1 or first class. Assessment for the programme is based on practical work. You will be assessed regularly throughout your training on progress in each of the subjects you learn (we have an ‘assessment term’ in each of first and second year where progress is reviewed). You will also be assessed ‘synoptically’ through projects and productions, working towards a series of public productions in the third year. This assessment tests your ability to bring together all aspects of learning, and to embody this within your work as an actor. Students receive regular feedback through tutorials, class notes and written feedback on assessments. We do not automatically share marks with students, but these are available should a student wish to see them.
