COURSE overview
“I was given an environment to develop my skills without feeling pressured. I was never bored and in fact, I never wanted it to end. I had high expectations of this course and they were definitely exceeded.” - Feedback from Stagecraft.
How do you move effectively on stage? How do you make yourself heard there? Where does confidence come from? If questions such as these engage you, why not take this opportunity to explore some answers, while learning alongside RADA’s expert faculty?
Classes include voice, storytelling, physicality, Meisner Technique, and combat, with ensemble work on a Crowd Scene and a passage of choral speaking. The course is designed to benefit, not only actors of any experience (or lack of it), but anyone who wishes to develop confidence in delivering the spoken word.
The course is limited to 10 persons in order to maximise the personal development of the individual.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
16+
Please remember that this is a strenuous course and that while any specific needs will be taken fully into account, participants must be reasonably fit. There is no upper age limit, however applications are advised that the course is physically demanding. Fluent confident knowledge of the English language is essential.
Applicants are not asked to audition, but each applicant needs to give some information concerning their experience (or otherwise) of acting: and then write a short note saying what they want from the course. Applications by students between the ages of 16 and 18 may need additional references and will be given special consideration by the Course Director.
