Creative writing workshops

The life in the Lab is always a busy one - since coming home from Greece we’ve had a very eventful month (yes, it’s been a month already!).

In the last two weeks we’ve had the great pleasure of being visited by two amazing playwrights, Tim Crouch and Simon Stephens, both of whom are among my favourite contemporary writers.

Their workshops were extremely interesting and I feel like I have gained a new perspective and understanding on the role of the writer. The workshops also lined up very nicely with our Creative Writing classes with Tom Hunsinger, encouraging us to pick up a piece of paper and simply start writing. This is one of the things I really love about the Lab Life – how we are encouraged to make our own work as well as working on plays and scenes by other writers.
